STOP-ZEMLIA
At RIFF, Reykjavik International Film Festival, we condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine and express solidarity with the Ukrainian people and all those who are joining forces against this cruel war.
We stand for everything this invasion transgresses – freedom, self-expression, life, love and the right to a future.
We invite you to support the people of Ukraine as they resist Russia’s inhumane invasion by joining us in the online screening of Stop-Zemlia and donating funds to the Ukrainian NGO Tabletochki, which is diligently helping Children fight cancer during this unjust war.
If you want and can donate a different amount, please access www.tabletochki.org/en
Synopsis: The introverted high-school girl Masha sees herself as an outsider unless she hangs around with Yana and Senia who share her non-conformist status. While she is trying to navigate through an intense time of the pre-graduation year, Masha falls in love in a way that forces her out of her confort zone. From a debutant Ukrainian director Kateryna Gornostai, a deeply personal story about self-discovery and the patience it requires.
